West Coast 200
The Route

Loch Linnhe Waterfront Lodges

No.13 on the route

As the West Coast 200 heads south from Ballachulish, the route follows the edge of Loch Linnhe. The path along the loch offers breath-taking views and a chance to enjoy the wildness of the scenery and its undisturbed beauty.

If you want to stop a while to take in the scenery for even longer, Loch Linnhe Waterfront Lodges are a great place to stay and make the most of the views. The lodges are set at the edge of the water, giving you the best views possible from your window and a chance to relax in the peace and beauty of nature.

Loch Linnhe Waterfront Lodges

By basing yourself at the Loch Linnhe Waterfront Lodges, you can access on-shore loch fishing and have a prime viewing spot for wildlife – make sure to have your binoculars handy! The loch is home to lots of wildlife, including otters.

Thanks to the Falls of Dochart and the surrounding countryside, Killin is a great base for walking, water sports and fishing. A great walk to get to know Killin is the Historic Killin route which is just over 2.5km long and takes you through the village to Finlarig Castle and Moirlanich Longhouse (a traditional longhouse that the National Trust for Scotland maintain.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy from Lochside walks to sailing as well as golf, mountaineering, hiking and more.
